What’s in the program: A new and imaginative adaptation of the play 'The Legends of King Solomon', a tour of the museum following holiday symbols, and a meeting with two actors portraying historical figures related to the themes and stories of the Hanukkah holiday.

The Hanukkah experience, rich in content, is offered to families at the "ANO - Museum of the Jewish People." It includes a play, a guided tour focused on the symbols of the holiday, and encounters with historical figures from the Jewish people's history.

Families with children visiting the museum will be invited to join a guided tour of the stunning exhibit, taking place every hour on the hour, where they can explore artifacts that contain fascinating stories related to Hanukkah. Two actors portraying historical figures linked to the holiday will accompany the tour stops. Children will have the chance to meet: a soldier of Judah Maccabee, who will recount the tales of miracles and heroism, and choreographer and artist Sarah Levi-Tanai, who wrote and composed the beloved Hanukkah classic "We Came to Drive Away the Darkness."

Additionally, during Hanukkah, the museum will present the play "Legends of King Solomon" (produced by Orna Porat and The Shomron Theatre) about young Solomon, the wisest of men, and the royal visit of the Queen of Sheba, who comes to his palace from a distant land. The queen's visit disrupts his world, transforming him from an arrogant king to one who listens, seeks help, considers others, and shows respect. This beloved children's story, a staple of Israeli culture and literature, has been adapted into a magnificent and imaginative production that combines original songs, masks, and puppetry. The show is intended for ages 5-9 and is based on "Legends of King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba" by H.N. Bialik, written and directed by Tzvia Huber-Man.

During the holiday, families are invited to visit the beloved "Heroes" gallery, which offers an introduction to groundbreaking figures from Jewish history through an interactive and enriching experience for the whole family. This is an opportunity to learn about the heroines and heroes who shaped the history of the Jewish people and humanity.

The play will be performed at the museum from December 17 to 22, 2025.

The tour lasts about 40 minutes and is included in the museum entrance ticket price.
