"Planting Together": Tu BiShvat Events with KKL
Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael (KKL) invites the public to celebrate the Festival of Trees with a series of events and activities across the country – in forests, parks, and communities. During Tu BiShvat, there will be plantings, tours, happenings, and cultural events for all ages, including families, adults, and groups, in a festive, green, and joyous atmosphere. This is an opportunity to go out into nature, connect to the land, and the values of environmental protection.
Eyal Ostrinsky, KKL Chairman: "This year's Tu BiShvat is a declaration of social resilience and deep-rooted Israeli hope. Following the massacre of 10/07 and the destruction of some communities in the North, there is nothing more symbolic than planting to emphasize the distinct connection between the people of Israel and their land, and to show that despite all challenges and difficulties, we choose life, growth, and prosperity, as Tu BiShvat plantings symbolize. When we go out together, from the Galilee to the Negev, we are not just planting trees, but deepening our community roots and strengthening mutual responsibility among us. I invite you to join us in this joint action, knowing that it is precisely here, in the connection between person, community, and land, that everything grows.”
