The airline of the North concludes its first year of operation from Haifa Airport, receiving a new, fifth aircraft, and preparing to double its activity in 2026.

Air Haifa, the airline of the North, marks one year since launching operations from Haifa Airport, demonstrating rapid growth, high demand, and a new momentum for aviation from the North. During its first year of operation, Air Haifa flew approximately 250,000 passengers across all company flights, with an average occupancy rate of 78%, to destinations Eilat, Larnaca, Paphos, Athens, and Rhodes.

Last Friday (19.12.25), the company's new fifth aircraft landed in Haifa, arriving on a direct flight from Toulouse, as part of the plan to double its activity in 2026. Over the past year, traffic records were broken at Haifa Airport thanks to the company's operations. Simultaneously, the airport's infrastructure was significantly upgraded: the apron area outside the terminal for boarding and disembarking aircraft was fundamentally renovated, a duty-free shop was opened, and the terminal restaurant was upgraded. Furthermore, the airport's operating hours were gradually extended, and the airport is currently active until 22:00, except on Fridays.

To mark its first year of operation, Air Haifa is offering a 20% discount on all flight bookings to Cyprus. The benefit will be valid until Thursday, 25.12.2025 at 23:59, using the coupon code CYPRUS20.

In the first quarter of 2026, Air Haifa is expected to increase its fleet to six aircraft and open new routes, including a seasonal route to Sofia, Bulgaria, and other destinations to be announced later. Against the backdrop of the expected growth, further development of Haifa Airport is planned by the IAA, including the establishment of a huge organized parking lot with approximately 900 spaces and the addition of self-check-in stations to ensure continued high-quality service and check-in times of only a few minutes, even under increased activity volumes. These actions are being carried out with the support of the IAA, the CAA, the Ministry of Transportation and Road Safety, and Minister Brigadier General (Res.) Miri Regev, as part of a policy to strengthen aviation from the North and develop Haifa Airport.

Gonen Usishkin, CEO of Air Haifa: "A year ago, Air Haifa began operating from Haifa Airport, driven by the desire to offer residents of the North an option to fly close, simply, and conveniently. The first year operating from Haifa proves that flying from the North has become a natural choice for many, evidenced by high demand and consistent occupancy. This progress is possible thanks to the people of Air Haifa and our many partners along the way, and we continue from here to grow, expanding our fleet and destinations, and strengthening Haifa as another significant aviation gateway for Israel."

All Air Haifa flight tickets are of the Flex type, which includes the option to change or cancel (in exchange for future credit) up to 24 hours before takeoff, a free carry-on bag, and the option to add a trolley bag, checked luggage, or pre-selected seating as needed.
