Arkia Expands in Eastern Europe: Launches New Destination, Minsk, Belarus
Another joyful and renewing piece of news from the dynamic airline, Arkia: Starting in February 2026, Arkia will launch a new direct flight route to Minsk, the capital of Belarus.
Flights will operate twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, and will allow a convenient and fast connection between Israel and Belarus, without the need for connecting flights. The flight time to Minsk is 3 hours and 45 minutes on the way there and 3 hours and 30 minutes on the way back.
Belarus is the second largest country among the former Soviet Union countries, and in the last two years there have been almost no commercial flights on this route. The re-launch of the route represents a significant opportunity to reconnect with the large and culturally rich Jewish community living in the country.
In addition, Minsk has undergone a rapid development process in recent years and has become a surprising European destination, combining rich culture, nightlife, diverse cuisine and particularly affordable prices.
Flight prices will start from $249 each way.
Sapir Ifergan, VP of Commerce at Arkia: "Arkia continues to expand its destination map, in accordance with the growing demand and the company's growth plan for 2026. The launch of the direct route to Minsk is a significant step that strengthens the ties between Israel and Belarus. This is a destination of historical, cultural and economic importance. We believe that the new flights will provide passengers with high accessibility, convenience and attractive prices."
