A Celebration of Lights: International Light Festival LUMAGICA TEL AVIV
Following the attendance of 160,000 visitors last winter, LUMAGICA Tel Aviv, sponsored by the "Hever" club, returns starting November 12 to Yarkon Park – Ganei Yehoshua, bigger and more spectacular than ever. Featuring more than 3 million LED lights, a field of tens of thousands of glowing tulips, a massive multimedia water show, and a European winter fair with two large dining areas, culinary stalls, and fairground games.
The international light festival LUMAGICA by MK Illumination returns to Tel Aviv in grand style with a fresh, captivating experience that blends light, water, flowers, music, art, and innovation. After the tremendous success of its debut Israeli season, the park will welcome visitors starting November 12 at Yarkon Park – Ganei Yehoshua, showcasing newly designed content created especially for the Israeli audience.
Led by international light artists Anat and Sivan Farag, in collaboration with the production teams of Ganei Yehoshua and Kupat Tel Aviv, international artist Misha Anton, and global design and technology crews from MK Illumination, the park features over 3 million LED lights, brand new light sculptures, and interactive displays that turn Ganei Yehoshua into an enchanting multi-sensory nocturnal journey.
Among this year's key highlights: an illuminated flower field boasting approximately 30,000 custom-made tulip lights crafted specifically for LUMAGICA Tel Aviv, alongside giant blossoms, kinetic elements, and glowing sculptures harmonizing in a vibrant atmosphere of color, movement, and sound.
One of the park's premier attractions: an immense water screen show spanning up to 30 meters wide and nearly 10 meters high. Custom video art created specially for LUMAGICA Tel Aviv will be projected onto the water screen in a breathtaking display synchronized with original music composed specifically for Tel Aviv by artist Misha Anton.
This year, LUMAGICA Tel Aviv offers an interactive journey inviting visitors to step directly into the world of light installations, flowers, water, melodies, and technology, becoming an active part of the wonderland. The European winter market includes two expansive food complexes, diverse culinary booths, and festive fair games in a cozy winter ambiance.
The "Hever" club, the festival's main sponsor, offers exclusive benefits for its members, including closed preview days prior to the public opening, subsidized ticket rates at 49 ILS (instead of 109 ILS), food stall vouchers, and discounted game tickets.
Shiri Sharvit, VP of Culture, Knowledge and Leisure at the "Hever" Club: "Following last year's resounding success, the 'Hever' Club is proud to serve once again as the primary sponsor of the LUMAGICA International Light Festival and bring it back to Israel with even grander, more dazzling exhibits. Our members protect the nation's security throughout the year, supported by their families. It is important for us to give them shared, enriching cultural and leisure moments under pampering conditions: the best prices, discounted coupons, and exclusive member-only evenings ahead of the public opening. We invite our members to visit the exhibition and enjoy quality family time filled with joy and light."
Another sponsor joining this year is Cal Credit Cards, offering cardholders an exclusive benefit: tickets for only 59 ILS (regular price 109 ILS). As part of this collaboration, a giant glowing light sculpture of a Caracal—Cal's beloved mascot—will be featured as part of the visitors' magical path. This partnership joins a wide array of cultural, entertainment, and leisure perks provided by Cal.
LUMAGICA is not a traveling exhibition; each park is individually designed with a unique narrative and artistic concept. LUMAGICA Tel Aviv was created specifically for Israel, introducing concepts and technologies implemented here for the first time globally. Preparations began nearly a year in advance across four MK Illumination factories in six countries, shipping approximately 15 tons of equipment to Israel in 12 sea containers alongside dedicated air cargo shipments. The Israeli park's debut success was recognized internationally when LUMAGICA Tel Aviv was ranked among the top ten LUMAGICA parks in Europe.
Anat Farag, CEO of MK Illumination Israel: "There is something deeply moving about seeing an idea born nearly a year earlier on a sketch desk pass through designers, artists, and factories across multiple countries, and finally come to life right here in Tel Aviv. Behind one magical evening lies almost a full year of passion, countless sketches, iterations, and complex logistics. For me, LUMAGICA is far more than a light festival; we aspire to create memories that families take home with them, giving them precious hours in another world. Ultimately, we are not just creating light sculptures—we are creating an enduring experience and memory."
