A Musical Experience: The Jerusalem Lyric Opera Festival Opens Today
Today (Sunday), the Jerusalem Lyric Opera Festival opened. Over five days, July 26-30, more than 10 concerts will be staged, featuring dozens of artists from Israel and around the world. Among the major performances are Mozart's 'Così fan tutte' and Verdi's 'La Traviata' at the Jerusalem Theatre. The opening performance this morning (Sunday) was 'Myth, Music, and Heritage,' held in the galleries of the Bible Lands Museum.
At the festival: On the stages of Jerusalem's premier cultural venues, more than 10 events will be held, including full opera productions, concerts, Baroque evenings, chamber music, and operettas, featuring soloists, conductors, and directors from Israel and dozens of countries worldwide who chose to come to Jerusalem specifically at this time.
