News at the Orchid and Royal Shangri-La Hotels in Eilat: A Thai-Style All-Inclusive Vacation
The Setai, Herbert Samuel, and Orchid hotel chains continue to innovate and upgrade the vacation experience. The chain is launching a new hospitality concept called "All Inclusive Extra" at the Orchid Eilat Resort and the Herbert Samuel Royal Shangri-La in Eilat. This move is designed to enhance the guest experience at the hotels, which are designed in a Thai resort atmosphere, by offering a comprehensive vacation package that includes all-day dining, alcohol, entertainment, activities, and major attractions in Eilat—all included in the price.
Simultaneously, the Herbert Samuel Royal Shangri-La hotel and its facilities will transition to hosting adults only (ages 18 and up). This new hospitality format and Shangri-La's transition to an adults-only resort will take effect starting October 4, 2026.
* Orchid, a Thai Resort on the Mountainside:
The Orchid Eilat Resort is spread across a mountainside near the Coral Beach Nature Reserve, overlooking the Eilat Bay and the Edom Mountains. The resort includes 145 villas and rooms scattered among manicured gardens, lush vegetation, and hundreds of trees. The hotel is divided into different wings influenced by Far Eastern design, earning it the nickname "the Thai Village." Some rooms are defined as "villas" and include private pools, while others feature a gallery suitable for a couple and two children. The hotel also offers a gym, a spacious swimming pool, and a spa complex with massage rooms and a Thai-designed dry and wet sauna. Hotel guests enjoy complimentary services such as Wi-Fi, international calls, a kids' club, and a bicycle rental service.
* Shangri-La, a Villa Hotel Combining Luxury and Relaxation:
Located at the upper part of the Orchid Resort, the Herbert Samuel Royal Shangri-La is a villa hotel that blends luxury with comfort, featuring design inspired by East Asian resorts. The complex offers rooms, 48 spacious villas, and a central heated pool. Rooms include wide double beds, spacious bathrooms, and balconies. The villas, designed in an Oriental style, feature private pools, balconies with sun decks, seating areas, and luxurious bathrooms.
The "All Inclusive Extra" Experience:
As part of the transition to the "All Inclusive Extra" concept, guests of both hotels will enjoy a culinary experience throughout the day. This includes breakfast served until 12:00 PM. At the Royal Shangri-La, a boutique deli-style breakfast will be served, prepared by the veteran and esteemed hotel chef, Levi Ohayon. Lunch—dairy or meat—will be served at several locations within the hotel, including the Italiana restaurant, the lobby restaurant, the pool area, and a BBQ BAR. Dinners will follow an "Around the World" menu format, with a different menu each day representing the best culinary traditions of various countries. Throughout the day, guests can enjoy unlimited fruit, sweets, ice cream, and popsicles, as well as free international alcohol at the bar.
Entertainment, Leisure, and Wellness:
In addition to the culinary program, the resort is launching new entertainment and leisure programs for the whole family, including evening shows with a house band and guest artists, sing-alongs, taverna nights, and dancing. In the morning, yoga and Pilates classes and wellness workshops will be held, alongside chef workshops and an open kitchen. For children and teenagers (at the Orchid Hotel), the ORCHID KINDER kids' complex will operate, featuring a playroom, gymboree, and creative activity corners. For teens, the complex offers gaming rooms and simulators.
Top Eilat Attractions - Included in the Price:
The new hospitality experience at Orchid and Shangri-La doesn't end at the resort itself. Those who still have energy can enjoy entry to Eilat's main attractions as part of the All Inclusive Extra concept, depending on the number of nights stayed. For stays of 2 nights or more: one attraction of choice (introductory scuba dive, guided snorkeling, or 60 minutes of group Padel). For stays of 3 nights or more: an additional attraction of choice (entry to the "Waterland" water park, entry to the Underwater Observatory, or a Ranger/Jeep tour in the Eilat mountains).
Another Step in the Chain's Hospitality Experience:
The chain's new concept in Eilat joins a series of upgrades at its hotels across the country, including the launch of new suites at the Setai Tel Aviv and the Herbert Samuel Ocean Suites in Herzliya, and the inauguration of the new and ultra-luxurious "Villa of the Seasons" at the Setai Kinneret. This is in addition to "The Herbert Eilat" hotel, which the chain began operating a few months ago, also in an "All Inclusive Plus" format, which has seen high demand.
