Family Events at the Historic Nahalal Police Station and the Valley Railway in Kfar Yehoshua

As part of the "White Night" events in the Jezreel Valley, the Council for Conservation of Heritage Sites in Israel invites the public to special events at the historic Nahalal Police Station site and the Valley Railway site in Kfar Yehoshua, which will also host the Museum of Brotherhood (Museum HaRe'ut) from Koach Fortress. The events will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, August 12-13, as part of the Jezreel Valley Regional Council's 'White Night' events.

* Wednesday, Aug 12, 19:30-22:00, "When History Comes to Life": The historic Nahalal Police Station site hosts the Museum of Brotherhood for an evening of heritage, wine, and community singing. On the program:

From Guards to the Palmach
Brothers in arms and land: A lecture on the surprising historical cooperation between the Notrim (guards) and the Palmach fighters, and their contribution to the defense of the settlements in the valley in particular and the Land of Israel in general.

Speakers: Meital Sarid, Director of the Nahalal Police Station site, and Sharon Lipshitz, Director of the Museum of Brotherhood.

Secrets of the Tegarts
The fascinating story of the Tegart fortresses - from their establishment during the British Mandate to the preservation work that restored their place in the landscape and heritage of the State of Israel.

Speaker: Arnon Hefetz, VP of Planning and Development, Council for Conservation of Heritage Sites.

Singing the Land
Liora Pinsky, a tour guide and member of the Gevatron troupe, will lead an evening of community singing featuring the best songs of the Palmach, the settlement movement, and the beautiful Land of Israel.

Guided by Tuvia Gefen - tour guide, historian, and film researcher - we will return to the days of black-and-white photography, meet the first movie stars, learn about the fears of technological progress and the stories behind the scenes, and watch historical film clips, unforgettable moments, and scenes that became iconic.

Thursday, Aug 13, 18:30, "The North Comes to the Valley": A family Palmach experience at the Valley Railway

The Museum of Brotherhood from Koach Fortress comes to visit the Valley Railway site in Kfar Yehoshua. This is a great opportunity to enjoy a shared experience of two heritage sites with one ticket, support museums on the front line, and give the whole family a day of values, Zionism, stories of heroism, and a fun experience.

On the program:

• Interactive Palmach Activity: Heroism stories, songs, and Kapap stick training for the whole family.
• Time Travel on the Valley Railway: A guided tour among the historical buildings at the station and a screening of a fascinating film.
